In der Aufnahme nutzt Maks mehrere „No-Gos“ der klassischen Portaitfotografie. Die abgebildete Frau hat der Kamera den Rücken zugewandt und auch im Spiegel ist
nicht das Gesicht
sondern nur die künstliche Lichtquelle zu sehen. Sonnenlicht durchflutet seitlich den Raum und es entsteht eine Dynamik von Licht und Schatten ohne ein sichtbares Zentrum. Das Missverhältnis der
sichtbaren Bodenfläche gegenüber den Gegenständen im Studio und der Portraitierten führt zu einer visuellen Unwucht im Bildaufbau - „zu viel Boden, zu wenig Luft.“
In the photograph, Maks uses several “no-go‘s“ of classical portrait photography. The woman in the picture has her back to the camera and even in the mirror one
cannot see the
face but only the artificial light source. Sunlight floods the side of the space and a dynamic of light and shadow is created without a visible center. The disproportion of the visible floor
surface compared to the objects in the studio and of the person portrayed leads to a visual imbalance in the image composition - “too much ground, too little air.“
