In dieser Serie wollte Dashti eine harmonische Balance mit der Natur, im Gegensatz zu inszenieren Objekten zeigen und die Wichtigkeit der formalen Gestaltung
darstellen. Die Photos
erforschen wie „Haikus“ die Beziehung zwischen Form und Inhalt. Manchmal ist die Bedeutung eines „Haikus“ unverständlich und erklärt sich doch in einer ästhetischen Weise. Es ist wie die
Objektivierung eines Gefühls ; das Bild offenbart sich von selbst. Dashti lebt in Teheran ungefähr
1000 km entfernt von ihrer Familie. Die Reisen in ihre Heimat führen durch die Wüste und verdeutlichen ihr wieviel freie Landschaften es im Iran gibt mit genug Platz für jeden von uns. Da die
iranische Geographie den politischen und sozialen Strukturen sehr ähnelt, versucht Dashti die Wüste in all ihren Photos zu nutzen.
In this series Dashti tried to show a harmonic balance with nature instead of staging objects and the importance of the formal form. The photos are like “Haikus“
meant to explore the relationship between form and content. Sometimes the meaning of a “Haiku“ is incomprehensible and yet it is explained and understood in an aesthetic way. It’s like
objectifying a feeling; that is how an image reveals itself. Dashti lives in Tehran about 1000 km away from the city where her family lives. Within more than 10 years she used to travel between
these two cities on roads crossing through the desert.
Therefore, she always thinks about Iran as very large and in some parts, a vast country with enough room for all of us. The Iranian geography is very similar to the political and social
structure. Because of this similarity, Dashti tries to use the desert in all of her photos.
